Legal fields are a specialized type of input which let sellers present rich formatted text including links as well as capture consent from a customer.

Sellers have a variety of presentation controls for inputs including:

• label format
• optional description
• default value

Formatting

Sellers can control the presenation of content within the legal field using the rich text editor controls. Text can be bolded, italicized, subscripted and more. Sellers can also embed links to external locations such as privacy policies and terms of service agreements.

Type

Legal fields have two types:

• Clickwrap
  • Require acknowledgment and consent to enable checkout.
• Browsewrap
  • Show legal content for acknowledgment within checkout but don't require a checkbox be checked.
